Loans, Footage & Stills

Subject to availability, items from the Archive’s collections may be accessed for use in documentaries, exhibitions, news broadcasts and publications. Film prints are also available for loan to institutions for special screenings.

Reuse of material is subject to preservation requirements and clearance from rights holders. As kaitiaki, the Archive has a responsibility to ensure that re-use of images is consistent with contractual undertakings made with depositors, and that cultural and ethical standards are upheld.

The Archive does not allow collection items to be reproduced directly from an existing publication of website. In order to maintain quality standards of reproduction, duplicate photographic prints, film, video or digital files are provided from the collections. Copying material from any existing publication, including this website, contravenes copyright.
