The New Zealand Film Archive, Ngā Kaitiaki O Ngā Taonga Whitiāhua is the country’s premier moving image heritage centre.

Established in 1981, the Film Archive is an independent charitable trust overseen by a Board of Trustees reflecting film, archival, Maori and community interests. The Film Archive’s constitution/ kaupapa expresses a unique commitment to collect, protect and connect New Zealand’s film and television history.
