Closing for Christmas
The Film Archive will be closing for Christmas at noon on 24 December and will reopen on 20 January 2009.
The regular screening programming will commence on Thursday 22 January with the Iranian feature The Fifth Reaction (2003) - the conflict between traditional and modern values in Tehran is played out amidst a custody battle for two young boys.
The Auckland Office of the Film Archive closes on 22 December and reopens 2 February 2009.
We wish you a merry and safe holiday period.
NZ Feature Project
The New Zealand Feature Project began in May 2004 when the mediaplex opened on the ground floor of the Film Archive.
The aim of the project is to screen every single surviving New Zealand feature film at least one time.
